Act will Increase Access to Afterschool Programs
The Illinois After-school Alliance and the ACT Now! campaign is proud to let you know that Governor Quinn has signed the Afterschool Youth Development Program Act into law. This law will create a framework for coordinating and strengthening afterschool services in Illinois and work to supply providers with much needed technical assistance, including capacity building and program evaluation.
The Illinois After-school Alliance is proud to be part of the ACT Now! (Afterschool for Children and Teens) campaign, which worked to pass this legislation and ultimately make it law.
